(Module 6, a)
Among the birds I would say
The greatest is the duck
They’re better than the turkeys that gobble
And the cowardly chickens that cluck
I can’t quite say what makes them cool
I just know that they are
Quacking as they float across a lake
I watch, entranced, from afar
They’re funny creatures, those ducks
Their odd-looking bills, their comedic quacks
They’ll eat your bread if you give it to ‘em
They look oddly grateful to you for the snack
Ducks are a peaceful lot
They look foolish but are no fools
They’re quite busy doing nothing
And that’s why I think ducks rule
